The Specialized S-Works Ares road bike shoe features an all-new closure system, a wrap-around tongue-less liner reinforced with Dyneema® and an ultra-rigid FACT PowerlineTM carbon outsole.

These new features eliminate foot rotation in the shoe, reduce strain on the tendons and transfer every watt of power to the pedals for unprecedented performance and comfort.

The key to more comfort, less injury and optimal power transfer comes from Body Geometry features, ergonomically designed and scientifically tested: longitudinal arch support, Varus wedge and soles benefiting from the metatarsal button. When used in harmony, these three features allow for perfect alignment of the hip, knee and foot, limiting medial / lateral movement of the knee and maintaining excellent circulation to the toes.
